This sanctuary has been designed to honor the power of One Candle to illumine the darkness. The light of one candle can span any expanse of space... from across the room to across the universe, and science teaches us that a simple act carried out with sincere intention really does have the power to effect change in the world. With that in mind, use this sanctuary with intention, and let it become a place of connection between worlds. The virtual world can be a sanctuary of connection when used with intent... and this candle sanctuary when used with love and a calm sense of focus will carry your intention directly to its intended source... To date over 50,000 users have lit candles here. Each candle that is lit will burn for 7 days and then burn out just as a real candle would. The spent candle will always remain in the sanctuary , but must be re-lit by someone in order to burn again. This being said, many tell of candles that re-light themselves on special anniversaries, or other days of high meaning. There is no electronic explanation for this,other than the mysterious and interactive universe that we live in and the power of love and intention.
